“They say a dream takes only a second or so, and yet in that second a man can live a lifetime. He can suffer and die, and who’s to say which is the greater reality: the one we know or the one in dreams, between heaven, the sky, the earth – in the Twilight Zone.”

Season 1 episode 9 of The Twilight Zone series is titled, “Perchance to Dream.” It originally aired on November 27, 1959.

The 9th episode of the series was written by Charles Beaumont and directed by Robert Florey. Beaumont would go on to write other episodes for the series. This episode stars Richard Conte, John Larch & Suzanne Lloyd.

This was one of the least entertaining episodes I have watched thus far but I enjoyed the acting performances.

In my opinion, the main theme of this episode is premonition. Putting myself in Edward Hall’s shoes does make the story become more alive and scarier.
