The year was 2000 and I was a 15 year old teenager. In the fall of that year, FOX released a show that I fell in love with. The name of that show was FreakyLinks.
FreakyLinks was a horror/sci-fi tv show that starred Ethan Embry, Karim Prince & the late Lisa Sheridan.
The show revolved around Embry’s character Derek and his friends, Chloe & Jason. Together, the three ran a website called FreakyLinks.com. The trio would venture out and investigate different paranormal and supernatural events.
The series came out not long after the hit film “The Blair Witch Project.” Like that movie, this series tapped into the “found footage” craze that was spurred on by TBWP.
Unfortunately for myself and other FreaklyLinks fans, the show was cancelled after just one season. Despite only lasting one season, the show to this day has a cult following.
